Hi all.
I just thought of this game.
At first i thought of another a to z bird names game but because we have got a few a to z games i thought of this new idea.
You will have to write birds one at a time which start with the first letter of your username or first name it's up to you.
For example mine is Nikos so the bird i am going to write is night in gale.
So now it's your tern.

My user name and real first name both start with B, so...bluejay

Whilest in High School, Creative Writing was all the rage, you know, great happenin' and well I should like to do a bit of spelling modification so as to get BOTH the "C" and the "G" of my name in use in conjunction with the Bird I have for so long thot so highly of... the bird is a, "Seagull" and I will instead spell it "CeaGullie."

Kaz, I'm not sure why you were trying to think of one beginning with M, as this is a game where you pick a bird beginnig with the same letter as your username, so C was the right way to go.

Blackbird is my pick strangely enough. lol

Jaybird (is there really such a one?) I've heard the saying "Naked as a jaybird" so for now, that's it, smile. Or is a jaybird really a bluejay? Hmmm.

Bluebird

Post 17 by PorkInCider (Wind assisted.) on Sunday, 01-Oct-2006 23:21:33

Blue tit
Parus caeruleus
Its colourful mix of blue, yellow, white and green make the blue tit one of the most attractive resident garden birds. Almost any garden with a peanut feeder will attract
them and they readily breed in nestboxes. In winter they form flocks with other tit species and a garden with four or five at a bird table at any one time, may be feeding
20 or more.

Budgy.

Daniel, I believe the idea is to pick a bird beginning with the first letter of your username, so you'd be using I, not D.

No it is not necesary. At post one i said people can choose between their username or first name but maybe i didn't make it very clear.

Yes, chocolate girl you understood correctly.. First letter of username or first letter of your first name.. I think I remember you saying your first name begins with an "M" I may be wrong and if not then you may choose bird names that begin with the Letter "M" or "C" as per the rules if I am not mistaken. Nikos could give more information if need be as he is the creator of this interesting/learning Board.

Yes Connie the rools are exactly how you said so you for example could use a bird starting with C Connie or G Grace.
Anyway i was thinking for changing the rools a bit if we don't get many repplies with the first letter of somebody's username.
If people are having difficulty finding more birds starting with the first letter of their name or username like me maybe we could change it a bit.
For example the last bird here was chickadee so the last letter of this bird is E. So the next person would have to find a bird starting with E for example English sparrow.
So what do you think?
Personally because my name and username is the same i can't seem to find any other birds starting with N and we didn't get repplies for a few days so it might be good to change it a bit.

Post 28 by nikos (English words from a Greek thinking brain) on Monday, 09-Oct-2006 11:37:08

Hi Connie.
I am a bit confuced. The last bird you said was Turkey which doesn't make sence.
The previous bird you said was the hummingbird which ends with D not T otherwise it would be hummingbirt.
So the next bird should start with the letter D.
I might be wrong. Maybe in America in some states they say birt instead of bird i don't know.
Nikos

Now this is strange I did not place any words in bold letters and yet...some in Post #29 came in that way...??

Post 31 by nikos (English words from a Greek thinking brain) on Monday, 09-Oct-2006 12:13:17

Hi Connie.
Yes you are right. Next bird will have to start with E.
But it would be interesting if you explain how you thought the game was and how you came up with the letter T. We might come up with a new game.
Anyway next bird eurasian cuckoo.
